Password Reset
Not all Vanilla users have a password. Some users access Vanilla exclusively through their fund invitation link using a one-time verification code. The password reset process described below applies only to users who:
Created a Vanilla profile before December 2022, or
Chose to create an account after submitting a subscription by setting up a password and multi-factor authentication.
If you access Vanilla using only a one-time code, you will not have a password to reset.
Option 1: Reset Your Password from the Login Page
Go to the Vanilla homepage.
Click the “Forgot Password” link.
Enter your email address to receive a password reset code.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new password.
Option 2: Change Your Password While Logged In
Log in to your Vanilla account.
Click your name in the lower-left corner to open the user menu.
Select “View Profile.”
On the Edit Profile page, scroll down to the Actions section.
Click “Change Password” and follow the prompts to update your password.
